Elderberry syrup


Use
- For coughs


Ingredients
- 1 kg black elderberries

- 1 liter boiling water

- 1 kg sugar

 
Preparation
- Boil 1 liter of water with 1 kg sugar for 10 minutes

- Add 1 kg elderberries (with the stems), leave boiling for 4 minutes

- Remove from heat, cover, let stand for at least 2 hours (or even overnight) before sieving

- Cook again and place in scalded (sterilized) bottles

Dosage
- Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of this syrup in hot tea (several times a day)


Shelf life:
1 year, stored in dry place
